What can I expect when traveling to Guatemala?

Things Guatemalans are required to do and to have on mind when going out during Covid-19.

• You are required to wear a mask all the time when you are out of your room hotel. Any building you head your temperature will be measured and antibacterial gel will be applied to your hands.
• You are not allow to get together with more than 10 people.
• You are not allow to do any activity that requires physical contact.
• Do not greet people by cheek kissing or hand shaking.
• The curfew still in force from 4.00 to 21.00 hours.
• You are not allow to drink alcoholic beverages from 21:00 to 5:00 hours from the next day.
• Pharmacies, hospitals and Medical centers are open 24 hours.

Hotels and restaurants protocols in Guatemala

Hotels and restaurants have implemented several protocols according to the Health Ministry of Guatemala, the Insituto Guatemalteco de Turismo (INGUAT) and under the International Norms of Security and Hygiene from the Health World Organization. Each of them meets the following standards:

• Hotels

• The personal of the hotel is equipped with mask and facial protector.
• Temperature is measured at the entrance and antibacterial gel is applied in the hands.
• Shoes disinfection when entering to the place,
• Common areas like the pool, bar, disco, childish games might be out of service.

• Restaurants
